PHPWebQuiz creates a database in the folder [wwwroot]\cgi-bin\WQ\PHPWQScore.
This database is used to calculate the results table. It consists of three CSV-tables.
CSV means Comma Separated Value, and is a format widely used for compatibility reasons.
You may open these tables for example with MS Excel or import it to MS Access.

You may delete all data by deleting the files you find in the directory
[wwwroot]\cgi-bin\WQ\PHPWQScore. When PHPWebQuiz receives the next request,
it will create a new database.
-
If you want to delete some data sets, open the
URL http://www.localhost/cgi-bin/WQ/editdatabase.php
This is a password protected page. Here, you may delete records from the
database according age and completeness (quiz finished/unfinished), or according name of the student.
The default password is "admin". To change it, open editdatabase.php with a simple text editor,
e.g. TxtEdit (you will find it on my web site)
and modify line 20: "$password="admin";" to insert your private password.
-
The start page Welcome.php has a built in option to automatically delete data records which are old
or where the respective quiz has not been finished.
To activate it, open Welcome.php with a text editor and delete the comment
signs "/*" on line 123 and "*/" on line 148! Here, you will also find some information
about further details.

For the performance of PHPWebQuiz, the database operations are critical.
To speed them up, it is recommended to keep the database small by applying the options above.
